I make unique fashion badges to my own design out of bottle tops. Currently these are marketed through the Oriel Davies Gallery shop in Newtown, Mid Wales; Urban Species in London; Greenhouse in Bath and Truro and Godiva in Edinburgh. Previously these have also been sold in D.N.A of Park Street, Bristol and Red Mutha in Brighton.
In photography I am currently experimenting with black and white prints with sharp focus and high contrast depiction of textures. I am also looking at creating a narrative in my work and I feel that the presentation of the work is very important in the way it is perceived.
As a photographer I am influenced by documentary style photography, and although I am searching for a narrative for my work, I like to capture things as I see them, rather than set them up as I like to capture the spontaneity that is created in the surprise shot.
