I am interested in how the medium used in this work affects how the work is seen. How differently would this work be seen if the medium were paint? Does the use of embroidery make it less erotic? Or amusing?
Veiled paintings
When I started the veiled paintings I was, among other things, thinking about Salome and the dance of the seven veils - the idea of a partially hidden image or an image which is changed by what comes between the viewer and the object.
Arcylic paintings
In these paintings I was experimenting with what paint does in relation to other paints and other liquids.
2D to 3D
Many Paintings and drawings are 2D images of 3D objects - either actual or imaginary. I am interested in what happens when the 2D art image is translated back into a 3D object.
